How Everything Works
First, you pick the weekly plan that fits you best, and the week that you'd like to start receiving Sprinly meals. We have plans to accommodate everyone, whether the meals are for an individual, a couple or an entire family! Once you have selected your plan, signed up, and paid for your first delivery, you'll log into your unique customer portal to modify your upcoming menus. If you are a new client, you have until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET to place an order for the following week's delivery. After that, new orders will be automatically be scheduled for the next available week of meals.
We take a very specific approach to sourcing your ingredients so that they are as fresh as possible, and so that we continue to support our mission to reduce global food waste. Each week, no later than Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. ET, you will log into your customer portal to either modify your next menu, or skip it. If no modifications are made, we'll send you an equal distribution of the week's meals so that you never miss out on your honestly nutritious and delicious meals!
All orders are shipped on Monday, and you will receive your tracking information by email on the same day. Nationwide couriers will deliver your meals on Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on your proximity to our commercial kitchen. Meals are shipped in insulated boxes with 2-3 heavy duty ice packs so they stay fresh at your doorstep even if you’re not home. Once you receive them, simply store meals in the refrigerator and enjoy them throughout the week!
We’re now shipping throughout the U.S.!
Unlike meal-kit companies that ship ingredients for you to cook, our Chefs fully prepare the meals for you, so all you have to do is heat (microwave and stovetop or oven instructions included) and enjoy. There’s no prep required! We want you spending more time doing the things you love.
Sprinly started with the mission to make it easier for others to live and maintain a healthier lifestyle, all without jeopardizing flavor. We want to be your personal chef and nutritionist, so our weekly meal delivery service is perfect for those busy individuals who don’t have time to cook every night, vegans working to maintain their diet, or anyone trying to jumpstart their healthier lifestyle with plant-based meals.
If you don't select your meals by the time the weekly deadline expires, we'll send you an equal distribution of the week's meals so you can have a variety of nutritious meals to try for the week!
Yes, yes and yes! After you sign up for your meal plan, we will send your honestly delicious and nutritious meals every week, unless you opt out of a delivery by the time the Tuesday deadline passes. If you are out of town, or simply do not need meals for an upcoming week, you can suspend deliveries before the deadline in one of two ways! You'll need to log into your customer portal, and then you can either skip individual week of meals, or you can pause your entire subscription.
Skip one or more individual deliveries by toggling the week's "skip" button in your customer portal. This white circle button is located at the top right corner of each weekly menu - simply tap or click the button to skip that week's delivery. Wait a moment as the page reloads and refreshes with your menu "grayed out", indicating that no meals will be sent for that week.
If you wish to place your subscription on an indefinite hold, please visit the Account Settings section of your customer portal and follow the prompts. Make sure you tap or click all the way through the questionnaire and allow your page to refresh with the subscription paused. You'll know that your subscription is paused when you see a "Reactivate" button on your page, indicating that you can always come back and resume your meal service when you're ready! With Sprinly, there are no commitments, added fees, or penalties – we try to make our service as easy as possible to fit your lifestyle.
Our Chef designs each weekly menu to include a variety of cuisines each week, and we're constantly working on new recipes to expand our offerings and flavor profiles. In the meantime, we have over 50 recipes that we rotate throughout the year, and we make six honestly delicious meals available to you each week.
You will modify your meal quantities on the week's menu after logging into your customer portal. You can leave the menu as the default (equal distributions of each meal), or you can omit any meals you don't want and substitute additional quantities of your preferred meals from the week's menu instead. We take this approach of sourcing and preparing a limited number of meals in an effort to support our mission to reduce global food waste.
Use the ➕ and ➖ buttons that appear underneath each meal image on your weekly menu to configure your order, and make sure you hit the menu's "Update Meals" button when your menu looks good to you! Your page will reload with your updated changes. Always be sure to update one menu at a time, and always review your updates to make sure they are reflected properly.
STAFF TIP: Do you have an event coming up? Order 6, 12, or 18 of the same meal and save yourself some time in the kitchen!
Packaging – We recommend either keeping the ice packs for yourself or donating the 98% water-based, non-toxic ice packs to local food banks, churches, shelters, Meals on Wheels or Girl/Boy Scouts organizations who can use them! Alternatively, you can cut the packs open and empty the non-toxic gel into the trash, which will mostly evaporate. The plastic wrapping can then be recycled. Also, the eco-friendly insulated liner is completely compostable, so you can compost the material inside the liner and then recycle the outer bag portion.
Food Containers – Our food containers are microwave safe, oven safe, freezer safe, and made of up to 40% recycled materials (highest % we’ve seen)! Of course, they are also 100% recyclable. If you prefer, save them for leftovers, to-go meals, arts and crafts, or donations!
That’s a great question and one that we thought a lot about before launching our service. One of the reasons eating healthier is so difficult is because people have to make that healthy-minded decision 21+ times a week. We think that by allowing our clients to simply choose their healthy meals once a week, they are able to make one conscious, positive decision for themselves, and eliminate the stresses many people face when it comes to selecting healthier choices every day. Imagine a life where there is no more asking yourself, “what’s for breakfast/lunch/dinner?” – and that’s because your next meal is already there ready for you in your fridge. Now, that’s utopia!
Equally important, because we are a weekly service, we are able to source exactly the amount of ingredients we need for that week. This means that the produce we use is harvested as close as possible (and sometimes even the same day) to when our chefs prepare your meals, allowing us to ensure that we use the very freshest ingredients. In addition, with the way we have set up our logistics and our source-exactly-as-much-as-needed model, our weekly service allows us to eliminate the waste you would often find with on-demand services or restaurants and therefore, we can lessen our environmental impact.
Finally, a core reason why we started Sprinly is because we wanted to spread honestly healthy meals to areas where it is difficult to find. So instead of opening a restaurant in one location, we decided to make delivery a central part of our business, so location will no longer stop someone from living a healthier, happier life.
Our Meals
Quality is the top priority for us at Sprinly! Each and every week, we source USDA-certified organic ingredients for our meals and only make an exception in extreme cases when it may not be possible, meaning we are not certified organic. An instance might be something like weather causing a bad crop for farmers. In those rare instances, we use our very best judgment to source the freshest and most nutritious ingredients we can find. Additionally, there are ingredients like salt that is a mineral and therefore cannot be certified organic. You can check your ingredient label for all of the ingredients that are organic! And as always, we choose to support mindful purveyors who share our incredibly high standards of quality and belief in sustainable agricultural practices.
Knowing what's in your food is always important, especially when it comes to any dietary preferences or requirements. While we're not able to customize individual meals, you're always able to view the available menu before your order is processed, and omit any meals that you're unable to enjoy! If you're not a client yet, you can view our upcoming menus from the "Our Menu" page. If you're already a client, you'll visit your customer portal, and, in either case, you'll tap or click on each meal image to view the complete list of ingredients and nutritional information.
As a client, you can modify each meal quantity, or skip the week altogether, based on your needs.
Our meals are prepared as a single serving and are packaged individually so that you can easily grab a prepared meal to take to work for lunch or you can also enjoy them for dinner with your partner or family too. Though they are packaged individually, many of our clients tell us that our meals can oftentimes last them 1 – 1.5 meals. On average, our meals range from 14 oz – 20 oz (salads naturally tend to be a little lighter than others, though we provide larger containers for salads). The best part about it is that all of our meals are nutritionist-approved and we use high-quality nutrient-dense organic ingredients so you never have to worry about overeating!
Meals are shipped on Monday, and our insulated packaging is designed to keep your food fresh during transit. They should be enjoyed within the suggested "Freshness Guidelines" time frame: You will see on arrival that each meal container's cardboard sleeve has a "Lot Number" on the back, which represents the date of shipment. Meals are expected to last through the following Monday, except for "Eat Me Earlier" dishes. Some meals will contain an "EME" symbol on the front of their individual packaging. This symbol looks like a clock, or a timer, and is also on the website (where applicable) when you tap or click on a meal image. Those "EME" dishes should ideally be enjoyed by Friday or Saturday, which is 2-3 days after your meals arrive, due to certain ingredients that may not keep fresh as long as those in other meals.
We haven't done the testing ourselves, so we do not recommend freezing meals, due to the potential impact on quality. However, many clients have reported that they regularly freeze pasta dishes (with gluten-free pasta, as opposed to soba noodles), soups, curries and other dishes that do not have raw veggies in them. Freeze meals at your own discretion, and feel free to share your results with us so that we can pass them along to other Sprinly community members!
Yes – each meal comes in a microwave-safe container with specific instructions on how to enjoy your meal. Some dishes may be eaten cold, others may require some quick heating on the stovetop or in the microwave or oven, and many will include a sauce and garnishes.
Currently, we provide microwave and stovetop instructions, and we are currently actively developing oven instructions for several of our meals as well.
Yes, we provide a list of nutritional information for each of our available meals. Visit the "Our Menu" page of our website (or your customer portal) and tap or click on any of the images to view this information.
We also partner with MyFitnessPal (https://www.myfitnesspal.com/) to provide further detail, and we welcome all specific inquiries that are directed to support@sprinly.com
We love to keep it exciting with new dishes all the time, which is why our Chef is constantly innovating - we're always refining existing recipes and working on new ones based on client feedback! Menus rotate every couple of months, so you'll see a variety of meals available to you, with community favorites returning to the menu more often than others.
If you see a meal repeating, it's because it has been rated highly by our clients through weekly survey responses! We also welcome input which is shared with us at support@sprinly.com and we take all of your thoughtful suggestions into consideration. Our Culinary Manager is always able to access a database of client feedback, so never hesitate to let us know how you're enjoying your Sprinly experience!
Yes – we do not use animal products in any of our meals. Whether you’re vegan, omnivore, or otherwise, we believe that everyone can benefit by incorporating more plants in their diet.
Yes, we only use gluten-free ingredients, which means that all of our meals and entire kitchen are also gluten-free! Although we have not yet had the opportunity to officially be certified as a gluten-free kitchen, we are hoping to receive our certification in the very near future.
Overall, we keep oil to a minimum, but we do use some organic olive oil and organic sesame oil in some of our meals. All oil-free meals are marked with a crossed-out water drop symbol when you tap or click on each meal's image on the website, or on your customer portal, so you can easily spot them when selecting your meals.
Sprinly meals are not certified kosher (at least not yet!), but our meals are 100% vegan, and our facility and equipment only process our vegan meals. We also wash our vegetables many times with our organic veg wash. All of our vinegar are certified kosher and organic.
